Jiangsu SUNYA Machinery Ltd. manufactures tractor-mounted tillage and land-preparation equipment at our 20,000 m² facility in Jiangsu, China. As a Disc Plow & Rotary Tiller Combination manufacturer, we build a tandem implement that carries a front disc plow section and a rear PTO-driven rotary tiller on one frame, completing deep cutting, soil turning, clod breaking, residue incorporation and surface leveling in a single pass.
The range addresses large-scale farmland, heavy clay and compacted fields where separate plowing and rotary tillage passes consume extra time, fuel and labour. Six standard disc counts cover working widths from 164 cm to 332 cm, matched to tractors from 80 hp to 180 hp and above.
- One-pass primary and secondary tillage from a three-point mounted implement
- 610 mm and 660 mm manganese steel discs in six- to twelve-disc groups
- Single- or double-sided gear drive, dedicated offset housing and reinforced frame gantry
Our Range in Tillage and Land Preparation
The combination machine sits at the head of our tillage sequence, where deep plowing and intensive soil refinement are required together. The remaining families cover the operations that follow, or replace it on lighter ground.
| Product family | Function | Typical fit |
|---|---|---|
| Combined Disc Plow and Rotary Tiller | Front disc plowing followed by PTO rotary tillage in one pass | Heavy clay, compacted fields, high residue loads, large blocks |
| Power-Driven Disc Plow | PTO-driven disc plowing for primary tillage | Hard, dry or stony ground where trailed discs penetrate poorly |
| Rotary Tiller | Rotary soil breaking and seedbed refinement | Secondary tillage after plowing, seedbed finishing |
| Paddy Puddler & Leveler | Puddling, stubble burying and leveling | Paddy fields before transplanting |
| Bund Former | Ridge and paddy bund forming | Field division, water retention, ridged cropping |
| Tillage, Furrowing, Seed & Fertilizer Drill | Combined tillage, furrowing, seeding and fertilizing | One-pass sowing on prepared and min-till ground |
| Rotary Ditcher | Power-driven trenching and channel cleaning | Field drainage, irrigation channels, side or dual discharge |
Model Range and Working Parameters
Disc count drives working width, tractor requirement and load on the drive train. The table below shows our standard configurations; other combinations are built on request.
| Model | Overall dimensions (cm) | Matching power (hp) | Discs | Working width (cm) | Drive |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 6-disc | 210×224×125 | 80–90 | 6 | 164 | Single-sided gear drive |
| 7-disc | 210×252×125 | 90–120 | 7 | 192 | Single-sided gear drive |
| 8-disc | 210×295×125 | 120–140 | 8 | 220 | Single-sided gear drive |
| 9-disc | 210×308×125 | 140–160 | 9 | 248 | Single-sided gear drive |
| 10-disc | 210×336×125 | 160–180 | 10 | 276 | Single- or double-sided gear drive |
| 12-disc | 210×392×125 | 180+ | 12 | 332 | Double-sided gear drive |
Disc diameter sets the plowing depth: 610 mm discs work at 15–20 cm and 660 mm discs reach 20–25 cm, with the rear tiller refining the layer the discs have turned.
Disc, Frame and Drive Construction
The front discs take the highest mechanical load in the machine, so the plow section and its support structure are built around wear resistance and stiffness rather than weight alone.
- Manganese steel 610 mm and 660 mm discs with reinforced hubs
- Dedicated offset housing that protects the drive shaft in heavy ground
- Reinforced frame gantry that resists pressure without deformation
- Thickened transmission components and gearbox matched to the disc count
- Cutting, welding, machining and painting completed in-house for consistent output
Application Fit: Heavy Soil, Compaction and Residue
The combination is chosen where soil conditions defeat single-purpose implements: clay and clay-loam that smears under a plain rotary tiller, plough pans and traffic compaction below normal tillage depth, and fields carrying heavy stubble after the previous harvest. On light sandy soils and small plots it is usually more machine than the job needs, and a rotary tiller or a power-driven disc plow on its own will complete the work.
Where it performs best: blocks large enough for long runs, uniform moisture, moderate stone content, and a tractor that can hold 4–6 km/h at the target depth without excessive slip.
Tractor Matching, Installation and Field Setting
Hitch, PTO and Hydraulics
Every machine is three-point mounted and PTO-driven, so matching starts with the tractor rather than the soil: PTO power, hitch geometry and lift capacity, plus the PTO shaft length and guarding supplied with the implement. We confirm the shaft length against your tractor's linkage so the driveline runs at a safe angle on the working position.
Depth Setting and Leveling
Working depth is set at the disc plow section and checked against power demand and forward speed; the tiller then determines the fineness of the finished layer. For a repeatable finish across a field, we recommend fixing depth and speed first, since both affect clod size, surface levelness and fuel consumption more than any other setting.
Quality Control and Acceptance
Production runs through full-process inspection. Welding, machining and painting are each checked by trained personnel, and every finished machine receives 100% final inspection against customer specification and international standards before export packing.
- Incoming material and blade hardness checks
- Frame, weld and alignment inspection during fabrication
- Drive train assembly check and rotation test
- Final function check and documentation review
Customization and Configuration Options
Many of our mass-produced models originated as customer-specific builds, and we continue to develop machines from drawings, samples or stated farming conditions. Each order is configured around the tractor fleet and the field it will work in.
- Working width and disc count within the 6- to 12-disc range
- 610 mm or 660 mm disc diameter for the required plowing depth
- Blade shaft, blade angle and gearbox ratio adjustment
- Reinforced versions for stony or exceptionally hard ground
- Localized adaptation to tractor power, hitch practice and farming habit
Information We Use to Configure Your Solution
A configuration confirmed against real machine and field data avoids over-sizing the frame or under-powering the driveline. The following inputs form the basis of our proposal.
| Project input | What it determines |
|---|---|
| Tractor model, PTO power and hitch lift capacity | Disc count, blade diameter, drive arrangement, PTO shaft length |
| Soil type, clay content and depth of compaction | Disc diameter, frame reinforcement, gearbox ratio |
| Stubble and residue volume | Disc spacing, residue flow through the plow and tiller sections |
| Target working depth and finished tilth | 610 mm or 660 mm discs, depth setting range |
| Field size, shape and area per season | Working width and expected output per pass |
| Operating season and ground moisture | Practical depth limits and delivery planning |
| Destination port and container preference | Export packing, FCL or LCL loading plan from Lianyungang |
Maintenance, Wear Parts and Documentation
Service life on this implement depends on disc blades, bearings and drive-line components, all of which are consumed by abrasive soil. We supply spare blades, harrow tines and bearings as standard parts, and each machine ships with an operator manual covering pre-season checks, depth and speed setting, lubrication intervals, blade replacement and safe PTO operation.
Daily routine covers blade bolt torque, bearing play, gearbox oil level and PTO guard condition; end-of-season work covers blade wear measurement, shaft inspection and repainting of exposed steel.
Frequently Asked Questions
Which tractor power do I need for a given working width?
Our 6-disc 164 cm machine matches 80–90 hp, the 8-disc 220 cm unit 120–140 hp, and the 12-disc 332 cm model 180 hp and above. Power demand rises with clay content, depth and speed, so we confirm the match against your actual soil and target depth rather than the nominal figure alone.
How deep does the combination plow and till in one pass?
610 mm discs run at 15–20 cm and 660 mm discs at 20–25 cm, with the rear rotary tiller breaking and leveling the turned layer in the same pass. The practical limit is set by tractor power and moisture at the time of working.
Can the machine be built for my tractor and farming practice?
Yes. We adjust working width, blade shaft, blade angle and gearbox ratio, and can build reinforced versions for hard or stony ground. Development is normally based on your drawings, a sample machine or a written description of the field conditions.
How is each machine inspected before shipment?
Each production stage is inspected, and every finished unit passes 100% final inspection against customer specification and international standards. We supply the inspection record with the shipment documents.
What spare parts should we keep in stock?
Disc blades, bearings, blade bolts and PTO shaft components cover most field wear. We manufacture these parts in-house and can include an initial spare set with the machine order or ship parts separately afterwards.
