1. Puddling and Leveling in a Single Pass
Traditional paddy field preparation often involves multiple operations, such as plowing, harrowing, and final leveling, which require considerable time and labor. The Paddy Puddler & Leveler can perform soil breaking, puddling, fertilizer incorporation, and field leveling in a single pass, significantly reducing the number of field operations and the labor required for final leveling.
2. Fine, Uniform Puddling for Better Field Conditions
High-speed rotating puddling blades thoroughly break up compacted soil and mix it with field water to create a fine and uniform puddled layer, helping prevent large soil clods and uneven mud consistency that may interfere with rice establishment. The blades can also cut, press, and incorporate 30–45 cm crop residues, straw, and weeds into the puddled soil, providing effective residue incorporation and consistent puddling performance.
3. Precise Field Leveling for Efficient Water and Fertilizer Managemen
The rear leveling board or hydraulic leveling system helps create a smooth and even field surface, allowing a more consistent water depth across the paddy field and reducing areas of excessive ponding or insufficient water. Recommended Operating Practice
For best results with the SUNYA Paddy Puddler & Leveler, rotary-till the field first and then flood it with water. Allow the soil to soak for approximately 48 hours. Before operation, drain the field until the water level is approximately 2 cm above the soil surface. Under these conditions, the machine can achieve better puddling and leveling performance.
